Pepsi National U 12 Tournament 2006

It was an atmosphere of fun, friendship, laughter and of course plenty of football at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Lagos.

The Pepsi Football Academy had brought together over a hundred youngsters from their training centers in Aba, Owerri, Enugu, Benin, Jos, Kaduna, Shagamu, Abeokuta, Abuja, Agege and Yaba, along with the Football College, to participate in the National U 12 5-a-side tournament.

The youngsters kicked, feinted, ducked, dribbled and released hot shots with their tiny boots, and scored great goals. They were truly a delight to watch.

After 16 exciting matches and 43 goals, the Pepsi Football Academy boys from Aba lifted the trophy, subduing the Pepsi Academy Jos 3 - 0.

In his comments, Director of the Pepsi Football Academy, Kasimawo
 Laloko said:
"Most of these youngsters have never been to Lagos before. Therefore this opportunity to come here is not only to show-case their football skills but also to have the novel experience of visiting the city and interacting with kids from other parts of the country and further build the bonds of friendship. In the three days they have been in Lagos, I bet they have learnt so much that even three years of classroom education would not be able to impart in them."
