Pepsi Sends Coaches Back To Classroom

As part of the just concluded Pepsi U 16 International Football Tournament, three days of intensive football coaching clinics were organized for football administrators and coaches.

The clinic was handled by the FIFA and CAF Instructor, who is also a former coach of the Super Eagles, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde.

The clinic had as participants, Pepsi Football Academy coaches, students of the National Institute of Sports along with coaches and officials of all the competing teams.

Two other former national football coaches also participated: Shuabu Amodu of Nigeria and Fred Osam-Duodu Ghana.

Participants were unanimous in testifying that the knowledge provided over the three days was akin to a six-month certificate course content.

Coach Busari Akeem of the National Institute of Sports praised the effort of Pepsi in providing the training free of charge. Had the participants to pay for attending the clinic, he was sure that many would not have been able to attend. But, thanks to Pepsi and the Pepsi Football Academy, he said, our coaching repertoire has been enriched and Nigerian football will be the better for it.
