Email from Finland

The Pepsi Football Academy recently received an email from a former student who is now playing professional football in Finland.

Okodugha Ekhiabhi Sunday, who is now 20yrs of age, spent many years at the PFA Agege and was one of the youngsters selected by the PFA to attend and train at Bolton Wanderers in the UK.

In his email, Okodugha says that the PFA and his time at Bolton has really helped him in his career.

"Life in Finland is cool, pretty good and lovely but the winter time is not the best time! It really gets cold.

I am playing for KuPS FC [Kuopion Palloseura] in the Finnish Premier League [Veikkausliiga] and I will say that their league is interesting and a very good place to play football. Their pitches are first class and their facilities and organisation are excellent.

The fans also are just awesome and have given me a sweet nickname "OKU".

Even when I am walking on the street or at the city centre, I mean everywhere, fans keep calling my name. Really Finland is my home away from home, apart from the fact that I can't have eba or amala regularly!

The Finnish league is like the English league: A lot of running, aggressiveness, fast play and physical.

My dream is one day to put on the Green White Green of Nigeria. As super star Jay Jay Okocha said and encouraged me while I was at Bolton Wanderers, "I can make it".

I just want to thank everyone at the Pepsi Football Academy for their help in making my dreams come true."
